IPN

My IPN can not connect to IPN server after I installed Rogers Cable and Netgear route(RP614), but it's ok for dial up connection. Who has experience for this problem, please give me some suggestion.

It looks like something wrong with the IPN server.
I had no problems before Jan. 24th when it was said IPN service would be upgraded. After that, it is very hard to connect to the server. And even if connected, it is very easy to be disconnected or the delay is too long to be accepted.

As for the dial-up, my wife uses dial-up access and has the same problem as I do.

But the weird thing is, my friend uses Bell Sympatico and she has no problems of connecting, but the quality is very poor for catching the words clearly.

Try ping ipnserver.online.sh.cn to see how fast the response time will be. Generally if there is no loss packets, the connection will be fine. If not, terrible. But as a whole, the service of Shanghai Online is so ashamed to be announced as "the Window of Shanghai".

自从服务器升级后就没以前好,不过用拨号上还免强能打,但用了ROUTE就不行了,根本联不上,好象再上海时间早上4点能联上,可能那个代理服务器有问体.

the problem is from china telecom.
there was a virus affecting all the internet connection from china to north america.
It happened in end of Jan.
Now still not fully recovered yet.
Avoiding the busy time is a good idea.

怪不得IPN最近一直都不好用？~~不过中国电信还没有修好？~

From Feb. 12th, my IPN is o.k. with connecting. The voice quality is good but the delay sometimes appears a little bit long, per say like 2-3 seconds. Try to get used to it and you will be fine, at least it's back.

更楼上的一样,PING主机有2~3的延迟,TRACERT了一下是美国一个路由器坏了,大家等他们修复吧.

号是免费的,卡每月30RMB,最近网速恢复拉,那个路由器修好了,昨天TRACERT了一下,只有400MS的延迟了!

先麦卡也可以,申请了IPN号再买椰科一.IPN号(free)肯定嫩申请到,不买卡不能打.
