ECE Childminding Caregiver​

Duties:

• To be responsible for the safety, guidance and care of all children in the child care program
• To implement a daily program that incorporates a variety of cognitive, physical, musical, creative arts, sensory and dramatic activities, based on the developmental needs of the children in a multi-age grouping
• To ensure that the child care room and equipment are kept clean, hygienic and safe
• To be aware of and responsive to participant families’ socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, as well as their specific needs

Qualifications:

• Eligible to work in Canada
• English language skills at the equivalent of at least Canadian Language Benchmark Level 5 for speaking and listening and Level 4 for reading and writing
• Has at least a 2-year diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE), or will obtain it by April 30th, 2009
• One year experience, an asset
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Current police record check that includes Vulnerable Sector Screening
• Current immunization record including TB test
• Mandarin and Cantonese an asset
