I would recommend buying from EBAY. It is quite cheap, 30-40% lower than cost in Canada.
I had pleasure experience shopping on Ebay recently.

ebay is web based transaction. Once you won the bid, it will be shipped to Canada.

Remember:
1) Goto www.ebay.com to buy, there are much more selection on .com than .ca

2) Check the description to see if the item international/canada shipped.

3) Register your Paypal account with your canadian credit card. If you may have more than US$1000 online transaction per year, US$ credit card is useful.

4) Select the seller with NO negative feedback.

5) Bid the item in the last minute.

6) Once winning the item, asked seller NOT to use UPS/Fedex for shipping, Use USPS.

Check ebay.ca, you may avoid the Canadian Customs Duties.

I never got Canadian Customs Duties levied on my winning items from ebay.com. (for small value/small size things).

There are following cases for additional charge:

1) GST&PST maybe applied if the seller is NON-PRIVATE seller in Ontario or Canada.

2) GST/PST or something else may be applied if shipping with UPS/Fedex when seller is outside of Canada. So stay away from UPS/Fedex.
