u should go to quebec raaq website to check if you need to.
It depends on the total income, if income is less than some amount, y ou don't need to, if higher, then if you have private insurance to cover drug/medication, you don't need to. double check to make sure.

如果你夫人在学校交了医疗保险，应该打电话给魁省CANCEL公共医疗保险。如果忘了打电话，他们是要CHARGE的。不过作为学生，收入不高的话，保险费会被免掉。

其实最好是退掉学校的医疗保险。用魁省的医疗好得多。
