Where to play
2. How much it costs?
Around $100 per season for most clubs except RA and Soong.
3. When and how frequent you can play?
Most clubs start from middle of September to next mid May, two or three nights per week (or 50 to 70 nights per season) except OU, RA and Soong.
4. What format it will use?
Doubles at most clubs, 21 rally points.
Single is possible at OU, RA and Soong.
5. What level of players you may encounter?
Most players are equivalent to Provincial C/D level, a few could be B.
6. When is the best time to join a badminton club?
The best time to join a club is the late season or simply put, April.
Since most clubs are full, it's the best time to put your name into the early bird waiting list for next season.
If you are lucky, you may get a chance to have a try-out from now till end of the season.
7. Where to play as a guest?
Most clubs accept guests, *IF* they believe they are not too crowded for certain nights.
Check the club's Web site or call them before you go.
Guest fee may vary from $5 to $10.
8. Where to play drop-in game?
Soong 613-729-9940 at 1132 Fisher Avenue $5 (Sunday League)
RA 613-733-5100 ext 364 $10 must be accompanied by a member.
Jockvale Gym 613-580-2788 $2.70 (20 minutes rotation)
Nepean Sportsplex 613-580-2828 $2.70 (20 minutes rotation)
