您这是不是搞错了，16X10 ft，这是要拆一面墙啊！6 ft的patio door大概要7，800块，再加人工。

这跟你要的样式有很大关系，我只能说大概，往省钱方面说，大概材料要＄2000左右。人工能找到1：1就该知足了，不过也许有点难。

you need permit for both the door and the deck
you can go to homedepot, they can design the deck for you for free and print you out a BOM , at that point you know pretty much the material costs
i would recommend that you build the deck yourself, it is really fun and the most basic framing "project" around a house. however, if you have the cash and/or have no interest whatsoever, you can get handy man to build it. labor costs you 1 to 2 times the material.
like i said, you need a permit, otherwise if city knows it, you screwed up big time.

You may not need a city permit if the deck is lower than two feet. I can't remeber very clear. Call 311 check with city. You do need a permit for the door.
