Is USA still a dreamland for Chinese?

I listened to Bush’s State of the Union address yesterday. Generally speaking, i am not a political oriented person. But with our daily life so closely connected to the American market, we just simply cannot ignore some major events.

I was so disappointed about stupid Bush’s speech. What I heard was WAR WAR WAR ! In order to further build up American’s already the strongest military muscle, bush is ready to run the country with a deficit budget. North Korean is on the top of bush’s enemy list. I never heard there is a single terrorist coming from North Korean.

What disappointed me most in Bush’s speach is his promise to defeat recession part. He has no plan to fight this recession. Bush was just using the recession as an excuse to promote his old policies.

I was thinking about moving to the States some time in the future. But I am now thinking: is USA still a dreamland for Chinese?

apparently US is not a dreamland, but ottawa is worse. if you are not a political oriented person, just forget about bush and his speech...practically it has nothing to do with you.

It does matter to you if you plan to move to the States. There was one world I did agree with Bush, “American has never been this strong” …….Things always collapse at their peak. I feel that the UAS is close to it’s peak.

After you consider the long working hours and sky-high house price, the American dollar is not that attractive. Honestly say, what I care most is not the money, but the weather. It is really lucky for those who live in California.

The reason I believe US is better is not simply because of their stronger dollar. There IS reason why the dollar has been the strongest dollar in the world for more than 50 years. Americans or American companies are generally more aggressive and creative, and they have a better system, relatively fair and consistant game rules to provide ordinary people a chance to succeed.

I'm not a enthusiastic freedom and democracy advocator, but I do believe there must be something behind America's success. Let's face the simple fact that it takes only 200 years to make America the most powerful country in this planet, and it takes only 20 years to let Bill Gates become the richest person in this planet, started from an ordinary person like you and me. Only in America can people have such a dream for their life. I don't see any other country offering better opportunity than States does.

Oh man, what else can I say...according to you theory,
1 you worried too much.
2 you are too old to move to US.
3 you are looking for a reason to give it up.
but anyway, then ottawa might be a better place for you cuz it's never gonna have a peak at all.
