custom home builders

Any one here has experience with the custom home builders (large or small such as Land Ark Homes, Doyle Homes)? What are pros and cons of using a custom home builder? Thanks.

I've seen Land ark homes, they look quite nice. I've never had experienced with custom home builders, but I know first you have to be willing to pay quite a bit simply they will build exactly the way you want it. And secondly, for sure your house will look different than other home, meaning it looks unique and nice, interior and exterior. Im not sure about the drawbacks, may be you need to spend lot of time on picking most of the materials.
