请教无线上网

家里有俩个台式计算机(比较老2000年买的)想要同时上网,请问如何才能检测计算机中的网卡是否能支持无线上网.还有BELL 的 MODEN 是否有无线上网的功能,而不需要另买 路由器.

实际上我的网卡是SIS 900 PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter.但我不知道它是否支持无线上网.

It is not a wireless adapter/card.

Bell does have a modem with wireless router. all in one. I got it in 2007. perhaps yours is a very old one.

Buy a wireless Adapter, just plug into a USB of your computer, it absolutely can be used for wireless 无线上网.

I bought a TRENDnet 54 Mbps 802.11g Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter from Best Buy a few years ago and it still can be used. Now, should have a better one there.

Simple method: Antenna

Most of wireless routers have external antennas, especially old ones. Some have internal ones. You can log in your router to check its functions. Normally, the IP address is 192.168.1.1.

Wireless LAN cards certainly have antennas.

在设备管理器里面点开Network adapters，看看里面有没有wireless adapter，有就能支持无线上网，没有就需要另买一个USB或PCI的无线网卡。

Bell提供的Modem如果只有一个LAN口，就不能用来无线上网；如果是带四个LAN口，就是自带无线路由器功能的，无线上网就不需要另购无线路由器。
