Free on-line language (French etc.) courses from Ottawa Public Library

For those who are interested to learn French (or several other languages ) on-line. Here is one free site I recently encountered. It is provided by the City of Ottawa Library. Once you get your library card, go to the Ottawa Library Website, click "Digital Media and Web Tools", then click the "Mango Languages" icon. Enter your library card's bar code and pin, and click the language you like to learn.

For those with some French knowledge, another tool is to "entendre quelqu'un lire lentement un livre pour vous". Go to the same site as the Mango Languae course, click TUMBLE BOOK LIBRARY, then click LANGUAGE LEARNING. Click any French book you like. Of coure, if you are interested in other languages, such as Spanish, click a Spanish book.
