Lay off 后就回国了，申请EI和网上报告都是家人做的，报告写的not available 行吗？用不用再打电话请假？

申请EI必須如實申報離境情況和任何工作收入的具體細節，即使是轉為學習也要申報。
如果出境是因為找工作需要或緊急家庭原因，申請EI一般是沒有問題的。

千万不能这么做! 因为:

1. 你出入境会有记录;
2. 你从外国添报EI时间表,会显示加拿大境外IP地址;
3. 没有必要这么费劲.

只要如实添报离开加拿大,不论是休假或去面试,都很正常. 只是当您不在加拿大的这段时间没有PAY, 但总的EI周数和PAYMENT是不变的, 只是向后延了.

I am not trying to scare you. When I was working in Toronto a few years ago, a Oakville women was hiding her part time income from Human resource Canada. Eventually she was sued by Government and she was ordered not only paid back the benefit during this period plus interest, but also was ineligible of any future benefit for rest of her life. This news was widely reported in local Toronto newspapers.

我已经替他在网上填过两次report 了，都选的not available, 有必要再打电话去给他请假，如果问我，可以说是我代替填的报告吗？

unavailable is fine ... to my understanding

you won't be able to draw EI benefit unless you are available and willing to work.

谢谢回复，还没开始领EI,只是理解报告not available 包括on vacation, out of country，所以就只由家人写报告而没有打电话，如果人不在加拿大，家人可以代替请假吗？问起回中国在先，报告不可能自己提交的怎么回答呢？

具体操作不是很清楚. 但只要没领到钱,应该问题不大.

我去年失业期间回国一段时间，就是网上报告unabaliable （EI暂停），等再回到加拿大后，报告abaliable and willing to work，接着拿EI。我也没有打电话。
