Chinese passport renew question

My parent's Chinese passport need to renew.
Does anyone know do I need to bring my parents personally to go to the
Chinese Embassy or
Can I go to there and renew for them?

I called the Chinese Embassy but couldn't contact them.

1. You can go on behalf of them.

2. The passport should be less than 6 months of period of validity

3. Bring the original passport with you

4. Prepare one copy of passport(only the page of personal information)

5. One copy of LP or Visa

6. One passport photo

7. $20 each only in cash ($50 each same day pick-up)

8. Pick up in 4 working days.

9. Office hour: 9;00am-1:00pm Monday to Friday
