Just drive the way you normally drive, you should be fine.
Signal, defensive driving (check rear-view and side-view mirrors every few seconds), shoulder checks, obeying traffic sign (full stop, count to at least 3 seconds at Stop sign) etc.
When the examiner asks you to change direction or lane, don't just instinctly follow his instructions right away. Safety checks are still have to be done before you do that. If you can't do that due to the traffic, just tell him so and he will understand. Rushing it and cause an accident will render the test useless.
Remember, driving is an privilege, not just passing the test.
P.S. If you really want to be comfortable with the areas, try practice driving around there for a few weeks to get familiar with it . I don't know that area so I couldn't tell you much.
