谘询一下,在利率如此低的时候是否应该中止fixed rate高利率的按揭合同

前年定了5年的按揭,当时没想到经济急转直下,所以采用了fixed rate,5%。
现在房贷利率好像是2-3%了,你们说有必要中止这个5年固定利率的term,然后开新的?好像提前中止还要交罚款吧?
 
5% is too high even for the 5 year fixed rate.
 
I don't find a hugh different because your mortgage just acquired last year.
If you are breaking a fixed rate mortgage and engaging a different product (same bank or different bank ) will charge penalty of difference in interests.

So, thats mean you are paying as penalty the interest between your 5% and interest rate for your new mortgage.

But, each bank is different and no harm to just ask. It might saves you 1000s of dollar
 
Some bank can let you do earlier renew without penalty.
