请问： 如何获许参观白宫和五角大楼

打算去美国华盛顿旅游并参观白宫和五角大楼。
作为加拿大公民，怎样获得参观许可呢？

I think you have to be an American citizen to be able to gain access to the white house, since you need to send a request to your represent of Congress.

I went to DC before with my school, we weren't able to go into the white house nor the Pentagon, there were snipers on top of the white house, very scary.

Oh, you might want to contact the Canadian embassy in Washington DC, they might help you.

别费那劲了，手续非常繁琐！
我当时被告知需要准备背景调查材料，然后将所有信息及申请表返回到美国驻加拿大大使馆，等候审核的时间是6-8周，你想想谁去费那事去弄那些东西。
实际上白宫也不大，还不如参观一下从林肯纪念堂一直到国会大厦之间的各个建筑及博物馆。

The rule was changed after 911. Visitor can not enter white house normally.

十几年前去的时候（当然是９－１１以前），早上拿个票，１０点半排队就进去了。很简单。但是２００５年再去，白宫从街口就被拦起来，连围墙外的草坪都上不去。不知现在如何.
其实你买本克林蹲的自传看看就行。里面对白宫内部设施装簧记录得相当详细。

还有一个方法就是，距离白宫两三个BLOCK的地方有个类似于“ white house info centre"的建筑，可以进去参观一下，里边有些白宫内部的介绍和缩微品之类的东西。
