Anyone know where (bank or insurance or others) is the best place to open RRSP account?

I mean no service fee, no closing fee and transfer fee.

banks are the best place for no-fee service.
But a lot of MF investments have fee (front-load, backend-load) and you have to look for.

What do you want to buy though? If you want to buy Mutual funds. Most of them have no service fee and if you wait until certain period before selling them, there's no transfer fee.

I'd suggest the TD e-Series RRSP. So far they have the lowest admin fee (compared to major financial institutions) index funds in good selections.

我也正头痛呢.

我今年3月在scotiabank开的, 去了1次,回来要求我上网填表再去. 当时我正想买citigroup,$1.00, 原以为像中国一样当天可以交易, (严重可惜!) 谁知道这么麻烦, 回国一趟,到现在还没有去办, 所以现在不能交易, 老婆的开了户,存了钱. 也还不能交易. 说是$100年费. 交易费也比那些broker(如tdameritrade.)贵, Brokerage Rates and Fees - TD AMERITRADE 遂萌发转口之意.

请问我的情况应该转到别的机构还是继续留在scotiabank? 请问转到别的机构要交多少罚款? 哪个机构可以推荐, (费用少的)
