3.0 is at least 10K more expensive than 1.8T
If you want to chip your car, then buy 1.8T stick.
If you want automatic and be able to afford the price of 3.0, then buy 3.0.
A4 is very nice car, but it is too heavy (Quattro is abount 1600kg), so 1.8T automatic is a little bit weak in low RPM, but it is like a rocket from 3000 to 5000rpm
by the way, driving Quattro in this snow weather is really fun!
