Be Aware Canon Camcorder Quality Problem

I bought a Canon DVD camcorder about three years ago. In less than 18 month, the camcorder indicate "no Disc" even a disc is put in. I tried DVD-R and DVD-RW discs, I got the same error. I only used it for about less than two hours of video taking. Contacted Canon, they asked me to send it to a service in Montreal. Since the warranty period is over, I need to sent it in with my expense. Considering the camcorder maybe outdated and not worth the trouble to send it in.
I just felt bad about the decision to buy this Camcorder. I spent $600 and only used it for about two hours.
Is there another brand camcorder with better quality?

运气不好而已，所有的品牌包括sony 也有人骂

现在的 camcorder 已经向或者已经使用memory stick， 替代了DVD disc or Video tape. 要好用多了。

采用DVD和硬盘类存储介质的摄像机肯定是过渡产品，因为它们都包含机械结构，使用寿命不够长。如果每天使用一两次的话，DVD光驱估计也就能用2年。硬盘的使用寿命一般不超过5年。相比较而言，采用闪存介质的摄像机在防震、提高电池使用寿命和延长整机使用寿命上优势非常明显。

说两句题外话。

感觉现在的家用摄像机还有比较长的一段路要走，最主要是低光照度下的录像品质。买了Canon的HF20，网上评测还不错，也说了低照度表现差强人意。自己使用之后，感觉的确不怎么样。有灯光能够直接照到的话，效果还可以，但阴影地带噪点比较多。

总的来说，需要提高CMOS/CCD的尺寸，增大镜头口径，同时提高降噪技术，然后把价格维持在1000以下，呵呵。
