What host name you changed? If you only changed the host name of your workstation, it should not affect the Internet access...

I guess the real issue might be that you did not get a proper DNS setting for your workstation, so you cannot browser the Internet. While MSN works because MSN software talks with the MSN servers using IP address, which does not need DNS.

如果是 DNS 的问题，试试在 command prompt 中用 ipconfig /flushdns。你的 internet 是通过 router 连接 modem 的吗？如果是，你需要 reset 你 router。
