You can cut a piece of drywall at the top of wall, check to see if any 2x8 (or 2xX) installed vertically at the top. If you see one(most likely a pair), this is a load bearing wall。 If you only see one 2x4 lay on top horizontally, then it is likely not a load bearing wall.
Another way is to check out what is underneath of this way in the basement. if it is not supported in the basement, then it it not likely a load bearing wall.
I am not a civil engineer, so don't quote on me on that.
