What mp3 encoder are you guys using? Looking for a good compact, dedicated mp3 encoder with CD quality. The one comes with Adaptec Easy CD Creator supports 56Kbit/s, 22050Hz stereo quality only, by the way.

there is no possibility to get CD quality MP3. think about the file size, u will know.
I am using Audio Catalyst, which is fast and tunable for bit rate, from 128-256kb/s, and
also for dynamic bit rate. 256kb/s is enough for mp3. I have not seen any higher constant
bit rate.

I mean near-CD quality. Anyway, the 56Kbit/s is not enough coz I got 2M file for 5-minute song. How big is your Audio catalyst?

oh, that is too small.
normally if I make it with highest bit rate, 5 minutes will use up around 7-8M.
you can go to soft.jx163.com to download it.
and a lot of other useful software there.
