I just got "Notice of Rent Increase". It is saying:
"A tenant does not have to sign a new lease when a fixed tenancy ends. If the tenant decides not to sign a new lease, the tenant does not have to move, but the tenancy becomes "month to month".

What does "month to month" mean? What rent rate should I pay if the fixed tenancy ends and I don't sign a new lease? Before increase or after increase? It should be on the monthly base?
Does it benefit tenant? One just pay the month he live?

Yes. 捶妮春 is right.

But I wonder whether or not the owner can force you out in a two- or three-month notice if you do not have fault. Actually, you may be forced out if you have fault no matter your lease is month or year basis.

It benefits both sides. You are not locked for the whole year on a new lease. The owner can also force you out in a two- or three-month notice. You also have to give the owner two- or three-month noti...

Thanks for your reply. Before the passage I mentioned. It mentioned that the rate will be increased by 3.9%. So on the monthly basis, should I pay the rent before 3.9% increase until landlord forces me out?
