It is all red on the world's stock markets today.

Buying opportunities! For my trading shares, I was a seller Wed. and a buyer today. One needs to see the forest behind the tree if one's perspective is longer than a day, a week, or a month!

Hehe, what you recommended leads the retreat.

True as always, a leader is indeed a leader, whether it is upward or downward. :p

How much it can loose in a day if it is worth only $1.00/per share. ;-)

Different people see it differently.

Can't agree any more! Risk-taking is probably what separates people the most. Everyone acts in his/her own way as deemed the most prudent! GIC or Canada Savings Bond has a pretty low risk (still not zero yet). When it comes to the market, though, a day like today is nothing unusual at all. It could have been a lot worse. After Wednesday's explosion upwards, I don't need TA to know that a retreat to some extent is inevitable, especially today when options expire. Just a little understanding of human nature suffices. I sold all my trading shares late Wednesday and attempted to buy them back today. The key is indexes are way off their lows and are flirting with milestones. It will take a little while to bounce back and forth around those milestones. Anyone who wants to be a market participant needs to ask what if the market moves in opposition to what is expected before pulling the trigger.

I don't know what got into me. Maybe I am a born contrarian. I always lose money when I buy on the way up and hardly lose money buying on a big down day, at least in the short term.

Best of lucks to each and all!
