The English public schools there are also popular among Allophone immigrants who want to send their children to English schools in order to circumvent the language laws of Québec (they move there for a year or two so that their eldest child and subsequent children can be eligible for the Certificate of Eligibility when they eventually move back to Montréal).

There is quite a number of people in your situation living in Hawkesbury, a border town with Québec.
