If you decide to keep it running for another 11 years, you probably need to spend some money, even a new car. but for next 3 years, I don't see anything need to be changed other than the tires. And for any car under $2000, what do you expect ? 5 year warranty bumper to bumper warranty ? by the way I know people owns civic with more than 200K on it, he did not change any of those. I guess you are not a civic owner.

Talking about price, I have seen quite a few dealers quoted 98 civic for $4000+ with higher mileage than mine.
