关颖珊独领风骚 暂列花样滑冰女子单人滑首位

　　北京时间2月20日上午11点(盐湖城当地时间2月19日晚8点)消息，在刚刚结束的冬奥会女子单人滑短节目比赛中，美国选手关颖珊名列第一。本届冬奥会极有可能是关颖珊所参加的最后一届奥运会，她非常希望能够首夺冬奥会的金牌。

　　俄罗斯的斯鲁茨卡娅名列第二，她比关颖珊早一位出场，但是领先的地位马上被随后出场的关颖珊夺走。作为关颖珊的主要竞争对手，斯鲁茨卡娅将在周二晚上的自由滑比赛与关颖珊再决高下。美国选手科恩和休斯分列第三位和第四位。

　　美国17岁新秀科恩刚刚参加国际大赛不久，她在今年一月的全美锦标赛上出人意料地夺得了亚军。16岁的休斯则是全美比赛的铜牌得主，她在去年的温哥华世锦赛上也夺得了铜牌。

女子花样滑周二开战 关颖珊面临史无前例挑战

　　在前四届冬奥会，女子项目的世界冠军常常在冬奥会上夺冠。但是，这次关颖珊在盐湖城的竞争对手的实力也非比一般。

　　周二开始的比赛，至少有五名选手是金牌的有力竞争者，包括三名美国选手和两名俄罗斯选手。

　　著名教练阿列克谢-米申(Alexei Mishin)称，此次比赛将会比1998年冬奥会更为精彩。因为1998年冬奥会，女子花样滑冰金牌的争夺战只是在关颖珊和利平斯基(Tara Lipinski)之间进行的。

　　利平斯基是非常受欢迎的选手，但是已经走过事业的颠峰。而关颖珊后来居上，1996年首次出现在赛场时，就赢得三个世界冠军头衔。

　　米申认为：“关颖珊的动作最为优雅；斯鲁茨卡雅(Irina Slutskaya)最有能力获得金牌；萨莎-科恩(Sasha Cohen)的动作最为精彩；莎拉-哈吉(Sarah Hughe)的准备最为充分；玛丽亚-布蒂尔斯卡娅(MARIA BUTYRSKAYA)的表演最为性感、动作难度最大。比赛中，谁发挥得最好，不出现明显的失误，就将是最后的冠军。”

I thought Irina Slutskaya deserved the 1st place standing after the short program. Her jumps were much higher and more powerful than Kwan's. Michelle also made a small mistake in her final jump - the triple flip, she also skated much slower than Irina. I don't know what the judges were thinking! The Russian Federation should appeal the standing! Haha.

I didn't watch Irina's, but I wateched Michelle's. I think she didn't do as well as in Japan. I wish she can get the gold, that is her dream and this is her last chance. But if she loss the gold, I'm also not surprised because Irina and she are on the same level. I'm sort of her fan, although I know she is a more American than Chinese.

Sage, how come you know so much about figure skating? Were you a skater before? ... I can never figure out the differce between a triple flip, axle, sowcow etc...!

No entendre, I've been following figure skating for almost 10 years. I didn't get to see Sasha Cohen's performance, but once again I was extremely pleased with Irina's. Her entire footwork sequence was done on a single foot which was much more difficult. Also her combination was a triple lutz and a double loop, not a toe loop, which was also slightly more difficult than Kwan's. Irina was the only athelete to be able to complete a double Biellemann with a foot change. I totally think that Irina should be awarded the 1st place ordinal (4 judges did, 5 awarded Kwan). However it's not too late, for the first 3 skaters after the short program, whoever wins the free skate takes home the gold.

I wouldn't label Michelle Kwan a Chinese. She's an American, just like Sasha Cohen. Michelle's spiral sequence is the best, pure perfection, nothing less!

Very disappointing night for Michelle to finish with a bronze medal! She fought hard to keep her tears in, it was heart-breaking to see her in 3rd position on the podium. I couldn't believe how well she held her composure during the medal presentation, she is a real professional!

I feel sorry for her too, but I think the judge is fair. Hughs is indeed the best at least in the long program ( I didn't watch her short program)

关颖珊摔掉金牌 休斯力挫群芳


据世界日报2月22日消息，美国冰后关颖珊等了四年的奥运金牌，廿一日被她一跤摔丢了。美国十六岁少女休斯在决胜负的自选动作演出完美无瑕，惊喜夺得盐湖城冬运会女子花式滑冰金牌。俄罗斯史露兹卡雅以表现平稳得银，关□珊落得铜牌。四年前长野冬运她得的是银牌。(美联社图片：关颖珊赛后，在场边为痛失金牌伤心落泪。)
关□珊在赛完指定动作之后暂居第一，廿一日她排在倒数第二个上场。在她之前，有休斯及另一名对她威胁极大的美国选手柯罕。休斯以初生之犊的勇气，做出两次三转连跳，总共做出六个三转跳，抢先在自选动作占到第一。自选动作占全部成绩的三分之二，休斯的名次于是从原来的第四跃居为第一。这对后面比赛的选手造成莫大的压力。

柯罕（十七岁）廿一日紧张兮兮地跟著卡门音乐起舞，在三转跳时摔了一跤。

接著轮到关颖珊上场。她穿著赢得美国冠军时的一袭大红舞衣，脸色紧张，但动作扎实精准，一贯的优美流畅，只是不见她的招牌笑靥。就在她做三转时，起步不顺，落地时被绊倒。多少替她加油的华人观众看到这里，不由得同声一叹。

关颖珊在跌过跤后，仍坚忍地再完成二个三转跳。她在赛后说：「我当时是太紧张了。」

她完成原地旋转结束表演时，全场观众仍以雷动掌声向她致意。但是，关颖珊似乎已意识到那一跤摔掉了她梦寐以求的金牌，在等待裁判宣布分数那一刻，再也笑不出来。

在关颖珊出赛后上场的俄罗斯冰后史露兹卡雅，演出保守，并未做出原计画中的三转接二转再接三转的突破性动作。她的自选动作成绩在关颖珊之前，却在休斯之后，于是让满脸错愕的休斯挂上宝贵的奥运金牌。
