It's a very interesting question. It's been years people try to work on this question. I'm afraid even parenting/ children experts might not be able to answer it. parenting is a very controversial matter, there is really no right way of raising a child, I mean no formula for it, it's not math. The way people raise their kids really depends on their cultural background, value, tradition, belief, education, etc..etc...But for sure, those books on parenting, and parenting workshop would help.
