travelers cheque

I am wondering if there is anyone have experince go to China using travelers cheque. Other than bank of China, is there any business, like hotels or restaurants, accept the travelers cheque?

Yes, hotels accept traveler cheques, but you need to show your ID and the base paper with Traveler cheques together. I don't think restaurant will accept it.

And the exchange rate for traveler cheque is better than US $ cash.

Thanks a lot for the information! It seems that canadian dollar have better exchange rates in China than here. I guess it should not make much difference wheather to buy the travelers cheque in CND or USD?
