美国的好像就是6-7万美金的样子，加拿大的竟然有九万多，难道是我太穷?

Lots of higher income positions are at government, education, union, etc which had not been impacted by this economic downturn at all !!!!!

Private sector suffers a lot, since most of immigrants like chinese were working in private and high tech area, I think the relative average income level for immigrants like Chinese will be lagged more behind native local canadians who can find other jobs way much easier than immigrants.

Look at avarage income $80,000 of Ottawa city worker/employee, and how many percentage of they are immigrants? you know what I am talking about.

Sometimes when we read such statistics, we may feel very sad and upset.

For immigrant family, both couple has to be at professional positions to be above canadian average.

If one side of family is low income, or one is laid off, the family is actually ranked poor section immediately based on this result.

你在渥村这么感慨就太老外了。渥村是高收入区，做个政府工或者IT工，夫妻俩人的收入加起来，税前超过九万太easy了。

没错, 渥村很多是高薪政府工,而且很多政府工作的很多人都有大把时间做第二职业. 这已经是公开的秘密. 都不用遮掩. 各种族各年龄段政府,教育或医疗等吃皇粮的,都有.

一个有机会和政府或军队上层经常出访的,文秘可以好不掩饰的说他要赶到出国工干前,把他的生意换一换, 还有两个生意, 一个是给政府部们供货, 一个是自己的rental income物业.

一个在政府做IT维护的, 自己在外面开了一个计算机铺,三天两头领导看不见他, 领导自己也有一个什么生意.

一个在政府里做事的华人,来政府前有一个可以雇佣10来人的成功的生意, 最后说太累了,自己拿不到什么钱,全是给增加就业率做贡献了, 最后卖了生意,考进政府, 5年中请了2年病假, 日子过得爽歪歪.

前两天看华人们为那个tackshop,买卖双方吵来吵去. 其实都不容易.

呵呵，这个比较好笑！

大多数情况下，平均收入是比中位数收入高的。所以即使家庭收入达不到平均值，也不见得就属于后面的50%.

要说平均数多伦多还高一些.大公司head quarter好多都在那里，一个CEO几百，几千万的工资能拉起多少来啊。
