I think you also need to subscribe with Rogers for the first time when you use the digital box. You won't get signal until you call Rogers and provide the serial number on the box to them. However, Rogers will start charging you $2.99 per month for the digital service fee even if you own the box. You can either buy or rent the digital box. But if you rent the box from Rogers, there will be a monthly rental fee depending on what kind of box you rent, basic, HD or PVR.

如果你以前有digital service,并租用Rogers的盒子。你买了数码盒子之后，给Rogers打电话，他们会问你盒子上的series number，确认激活后，你就可以用新盒子了。他们会要求你在N天之内把租的盒子送回附近的rogers店，店里给你个收据。
