On behalf of Ottawa Chapter of the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), I would like to invite you to come to our 50th Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Keynote Speaker: Franklin Holtforster, P.Eng. is the President of MHPM Project Managers and he will discuss his contention that ‘Sustainability is Free’. If the pursuit of sustainability in our built infrastructure might have made a project uneconomic in the past, it is now the absence of sustainability that renders projects unacceptable. There is an overarching expectation that the projects that we engineer will be sustainably built and operated. LEED, BREEAM, Green Leaf and Green Globes are the project environments within which we now live. Engineers must choose: lead, follow or get out of the way. Franklin argues for Professional Engineers to establish their relevance by providing knowledgeable leadership in realizing sustainability.
Directions: Proceed north on Vanier Parkway from the Queensway, turn right on Coventry, turn right at traffic lights to conference ! parking entrance (there are signs that will direct you). Access to underground parking is free.
