... 弟兄刚刚发的资料是关于在周一遭受火灾的中国家庭的现状．火灾发生在本周一,一栋位于ＨＵＬＬ的95 ＥＤＤＹ街居住了很多中国家庭的住宅大楼起火，没有人受伤,但里面的所有人一夜之间都失去家园． 居民都没有保险, 损失的财物完全没有保障. 其中,有不少是新移民的家庭和阿尔冈昆的学生.详细的情况可以看CＴＶ的报道(下面转发）．．．．．．
受灾的居民目前被暂时安顿在MＯＴＥＬ ＣＡＳＩNＯ． 明道牧师和潘弟兄已于今天前往探访慰问.估计有大概３０－４０个中国人受灾.具体情况还要明天再去了解.
我们想尽力给这些同胞提供帮助．１） 明天晚上六点为他们准备一顿晚饭,大约40个人的份量 ( 约翰组已经承担这个重任) 2) 我们(GATINEAU组,学生组和基甸组)会在送饭的同时,和灾民了解情况,然后把情况汇报给教会的弟兄姊妹,请每家按着圣灵的感动去分别帮助这些家庭.
我们现在可以做的: 1) 为这些家庭祷告 2) 为我们自己祷告,从神那里得力量能够实际行动去了解他们的需要,设法帮助他们.
本周我们没有小组聚会.下周三晚上7:00 在 ... 家有祷告会,欢迎大家参加.

33 homeless after fire guts Gatineau apartment

Demolition crews will tear down an Eddy Street apartment complex in Gatineau that was gutted by fire on Monday, leaving 33 people homeless. No cause has yet been identified in the blaze that destroyed 12 apartments and five retail stores.
It took 50 firefighters several hours to quell the blaze that was called in around 5:00 p.m. Monday. Damage is estimated in the millions of dollars.
"I don't know. I hope I have something left," said Michel Gagnon, one of the people affected by the fire. "At least clothes."
Many of the residents did not have insurance, said one of Gagnon's neighbours, Jiye Liao.
"We called some insurance companies and they said this place is very complicated, and they don't want to sell insurance to us. So we give up," Liao said.
The Red Cross was called in to help find displaced residents temporary shelters. Everyone was evacuated safely and no injuries were reported, fire officials say.
