If you follow tech news, you will probably have heard of the M11x already, but for those of you that don't, the M11x is an Alienware 11.6" gaming laptop that packs an impressive amount of performance into an otherwise small frame. It launches in Canada at a price point of $899. Here's what you get:
  • Windows 7 Home Premium, 64bit, English
  • Intel Pentium SU4100 1.3GHz (2MB Cache)
  • 1 Year Limited Warranty w/1 Year Next Business Day On-site Service
  • 11.6-inch WideHD 1366x768 (720p) WLED
  • 2GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 800MHz
  • 160GB SATAII 5,400RPM
  • 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 335M
  • Internal High-Definition Surround Sound Audio (5.1)
  • Steam and Portal Factory Installed
  • 1.3MP Web Cam
The video card they have squeezed into this system really makes a big difference. You also get other Alienware mainstays like colour-adjustable keyboard backlighting. It weighs in at about 4lbs and can push about 3-4 hours of gaming use, and 7-8 hours of regular use.

We've got an extra treat though. As a RedFlagDeals.com exclusive, you can get an M11x with a processor and RAM upgrade along with a free Logitech MX518 gaming mouse for $1099. Here are the specs:
  • Windows 7 Home Premium, 64bit, English
  • Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 1.3GHz (3MB Cache)
  • 1 Year Limited Warranty w/1 Year Next Business Day On-site Service
  • 11.6-inch WideHD 1366x768 (720p) WLED
  • 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 800MHz
  • 160GB SATAII 5,400RPM
  • 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 335M
  • Internal High-Definition Surround Sound Audio (5.1)
  • Steam and Portal Factory Installed
  • 1.3MP Web Cam
  • Standard Nameplate
You move up to the fastest supported processor for the M11x (the Core 2 Duo SU7300 with Virtualization support) and 4GB RAM. Those are each $100 standard upgrades if you configure it yourself, so you are getting an MX518 at no charge. Shipping is free.

For more information on the M11x including benchmarks, you may want to look at IGN.com's review, where it gets a score of 9.5/10. Highlights are things like being able to run Mass Effect 2 at maximum settings at 45-60 FPS and Left4Dead 2 maxed at an average of 50 FPS.
