- Online Seminars -March 10, 2010 from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm

Classroom Location: Small Business Center, 2720 Queensview Drive, 2nd floor Conference Room, Ottawa, K2B 1A5.

Detailed information about the QuickBooks Training Level 1 Who’s it for?

Brand new users, novice users, or anyone looking to learn about the everyday features of QuickBooks bookpeeping and Accounting.

How long does it last?

6.5 hours, plus two online follow-up Question and Answer seminars (optional, 2 hours each)
What does it cover?

  • Setting up charts of accounts, customer information, vendor information, and your products and services
  • Navigating QuickBooks quickly and easily
  • Creating invoices, sales receipts, customer statements, and credit memos
  • Writing cheques
  • Entering and paying bills
  • Receiving customer payments
  • Making bank deposits and transfers
  • Tracking and paying sales taxes (PST, HST, and GST)
  • Reporting—including income statements, balance sheets, general ledgers, and sales by customer
The online seminars give you access to all the same content as the lecture-style seminars, without the inconvenience of travelling. Join the knowledgeable QuickBooks instructor and a small class of no more than 20 students online from the comfort of our office. For any questions that come up after the main training seminar, there will be include two online follow-up Question and Answer seminars to make sure that all your questions are answered.

How does the day run?

We will send you email for some materials and QuickBook software for you to prepare the training 3 days before the training start.
On the Day of the trianing session, we will use one computer connected to a projetor to log in the online traing account up to 15 min before the session start time. You can bring your own laptop (if you have one) with you on the day and follow up the online demo.

There will be 3 Scheduled breaks 10 minutes in the Morning, 30 Minutes (for lunch break) at the 3 hour mark, and then another 10 Minutes in the afternoon. (You will need to bring your own lunch and there is a microwave available and free water).

Time will be provided at the end of each chapter for Question and Answer.

Which version of QuickBooks are you currently teaching?

We always use the most current edition of QuickBooks which is QuickBooks 2010.
Any fees?

There is a $25 registeration fee to cover administration overhead and other expenses such as printing materials, conference room renting and drinking water, etc. You can pay the registeration fee by cheque, through credit card or paypal. Cash is also accepeted. (Note: We will offer a free training session to our business clients and/or CeBA members)
