I am wondering if the house face south or back to south is a very important element to choose the lot. Thank you for any input.

For me, I like having a backyard facing south or south-east because your windows and patio doors are all located at the backyard. That way your daily living area will have sun light coming in most of the day. However, if the master bedroom of the house you're interested in is in the front, you may need to think about it because it'll be quite hot during summer. Fortunately, my master bedroom is at the back.

It means that the house will be lower than the house face your backyard. It is really a hard decision. Are you going to choose the one with backyard face south-east but under other house or the one with the front face south-east but at the same level as other house (its master bedroom will face north-west)?

按照中国的风水说法. 房子前低后高代表聚财. 是好风水. 反之则是散财. 所谓前后的定义在于正门. 正门所在的一边即是房子的前面. 你可以去GOOGLE一下风水证实一下.

但是咱们这一套到了老外这好像行不通. 几乎所有的前高后低的房子(WALKOUT BASEMENT, HIGHBACK OR BACKSPLIT)都要收PREMIUM.

所以风水也要LOCALIZATION. 呵呵.
