请说说你们的WATER HEATER租的用哪个公司月租多少钱呢？

To my knowlege there are 4 water tank rental company in ontario.they are Direct Energy, Reliance, National service and Livclean, the rental price is just a little difference between company.In my opinion, livclean is best choice,because their water tank have Energy star logo which mean it will save you money on your gas bill, also,they provide best service for cx.

Currently my wanter tank from Engergy Direct.

Last weekend, A National Service saleman wants to sell a totally free installation for a new ECO water tank and he promised me that they can freely replace some upper pipe.

I am not sure of it. Who did the replacement before and can share some experience?

your water tank is called power vent tank, old vent material is black color abs,which is not allowed to use now by gas code,if you want to replace new water tank they have to change old abs pipe by new white color pvc pipe.if you go to livclean rental company,they also give you a free charge to install new tank and replace new vent pipe.

Last Saturday, a salesman from livclean knocked my door to promote their enery star water tank, I signed the agreement to replace my current Direct Energy water tank in early April even though I wasn't sure coz I have ten days to call to cancel the installation. After reading laolinpt's post, maybe I should go ahead with the installation. My current Direct Energy rental fee is around 21 dollars (I'm not sure if it is before or after tax), the rental fee from livclean will be 24.95 before tax, livclean told me that I pay little bit more for the rental fee but their water tank is more efficient, overall I save more money by saving gas.

I use Reliance to replace direct energy. both are around 21$, not much difference. just do not like direct energy, they try to cheat whenever they can. so far reliance is not bad. but for saving, maybe buy one is better, I just get used to renting

Sales 来的那个时刻，我们正要出门，确实没时间。没让进屋。

这些推销的怎么都把气氛搞得很急迫，没经允许急惶惶要往我家地下室闯，说是先检查下热水炉是不是高效的，好像晚一分钟就要死人似的，这种推销策略令人很不爽。

碰到过同样的推销手法，下次坚决不让他们进屋，估计统一培训出来的！

Renting a water heater is a good idea because the offer for maitanance,repair what so ever,and most of the companies are using GSW water tank-that is not different-and some of them not,better ask for the brand name.
there are some differences between all those four companies;
1.Direct Energy & Reliance are kinds of similar companies who offer water heater rental services each has over 1.3 million customers in canada. Rental water heater from these two companies has lower rental fee,no contract obligation(which means if you are not satisfied with the service,you can change your water heater supplier any time without penalty),and services cover most of area in Ontario;
Water Heater Brand: GSW
2. Any other companies like Liveclean,National also install GSW water tanks,rental fee couple of dollars more,and the contract term between 5~15 years,so if you want to choose their service, make sure read through the term and conditions carefully,otherwise,after 10 days installation, if you change your mind,you have to pay up to 600 dollars penalty. also, ask the salesman, where their local office location,who is going to do the service.

I do not think reliance has no contract obligation,before when I work in toronto,my boss told me if you find old water tank from reliance ,you have to make sure it is older than 5 years,you just can change it,otherwise you will have a big problem.

a salesperson from National service came to my house and he said if I don't replace my non energy star tank before Feb 2011, I got to pay a fine of 1000 dollars, is that true?

我用的Direct Energy的tank，每个月租金$44,原来还一直以为他们搞错了，好像一般都是20多块。特地叫他们来看了一下，说我们用的这种是high efficient energy star的tank，。正在考虑有没有必要用这么贵的，每个月节约的煤气恐怕就几块钱而已，租金却贵了一倍。有没有朋友用的Energy star的tank,一个月租金到底多少呢？

$22.99. But I am not a new customer though they installed a brand new high efficient energy star tank recently.

那些销售的，都是contractor，受mmission的，所以什么恶心的手段也都用。有时候，挺好的事情，被他们弄的神秘兮兮，紧张的要死。官盐反变私盐了。
