Question: Additional charge on private room at Hospital

My baby was born at Ottawa Hospital General Campus. The company's health insurance plan only covers semi-private room, but we requested the private room and would like to pay the additional charge ($40/day).

I stayed at Private Room for 2 days after delivery. When I left Hospital, nobody asked us to pay the additional charge, or sign any paper.

Today, I received a letter from insurance company, which stated that the submitted expense from Hospital is $440, and the insurance company paid $360 based on the plan.

My questions are:

Will we receive a letter from Hospitial to pay the additional $80?
Or should I go to the Hosptial directly to pay?
If we will receive a letter, how long will it arrive? I do not want to miss the pay, otherwise it will affect my credit.

Pay the extra fees to the insurance company. You could call your insurance company first before the payment.
