Living in Quebec or Ontario, the income tax will depend on how much your family income is. No doubt taxs in Quebec are more than that in Ontario. But considering other expensing factors, both have their advantages.

There are a lot of comparision recently through radio, newspaper. The commen conclusion is that it is better to live in Quebec if your annual family income less than 90K and with more than one kid. Otherwise, Ontario is the best choice.

For French mentioned as Newer, it is not an issue for where you live. Because if you stay around Ottawa, no matter you live in Quebec or Ontario, French will be asset to help you find a job. Be noted that 70% of postions in National Capital region is serving for goveronment.
