"Wang and Toor were involved in a confrontation a few years ago at Kingsbrook after Wang left his post at the intensive care unit and was not reachable for a few hours, according to a hospital employee who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the ongoing murder investigation. The employee said Toor reprimanded him and that Wang threatened Toor in front of other employees."

就这两件事情,断了王医生的美国梦. 杀人不对,应该得到法律制裁. 可是回过头来想, 这类事情在平时工作中太多,

大家有没有发现,往往华人如果这样做,多数不得好结果.

我知道这里一个华人工程师,是个牛人, 一次在技术讨论会,可能对一个architect的方案提出异议,可能用词不当,但并没说人stupid, 就被architect告到VP, VP点名经理要处理, 最后穿小鞋,换岗,最后待不下去了.自己辞职走了.

另有一个人(不是华人),经常说话不干不净, 经常和别人争吵, "Fx, stupid不离口""有一次开会不顺, 摔门走人.就这样的主,现在还待得很滋润.

Yell??? 说说看你们工作中, 华人yell的多,还是别的人yell的多.

在加拿大和美国不一样, 即使被排挤走了, 大部分是移民, 身份不存在问题, 大部分又找别的move on了, 在美国被这样一来,绿卡就没戏了, 就卷铺盖回国了. 后果不一样, 这也许可以解释这里加拿大还没有出现华人因为工作RAGE而严重犯罪的事情.

有的时候, 允许有枪的地方,不一定是坏事,至少给经常看华人软弱可欺的一种警告, 也给相对温和的族裔一个最后反击的渠道.

Vajinder Pal Toor, age 34, was a fellow at the Yale University School of Medicine. He was shot to death at about 8 am. this morning while heading for his car outside his condo at the Meadows condominiums, according to

the New Haven Register.

Vajinder Toor was shot numerous times. A neighbor tried to revive Toor with CPR, but it was not successful.

Toor was Indian. His work specialized in infectious diseases. He graduated in 2001 from the New Delhi Guru Govind Singh Medical College in India.

He was described as a "really smart guy" and "very motivated" by Tim Rye, who has worked in the medical field with Toor, according to the New Haven Register.

Alleged Shooter Arrested: Lishan Wang

The alleged shooter, Lishan Wang, age 44, has been arrested and "charged with murder, criminal attempt to commit murder, carrying weapons in a motor vehicle, carrying a handgun without a permit, and unlawful discharge of a firearm," reports the Yale Daily News. Bail has been set at $2 million dollars.

Toor worked with Wang at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, reports the NY Daily News. NPR reports that Yang previously threatened Toor over a reprimand Toor issued over a work situation. There were witnesses to the threat.

Wang resides in Georgia. He is a citizen of China.

Some neighbors of the Toor family called the police with details about the crime. Wang was arrested within a mile of the crime scene.

Alleged Attempt to Murder Toor's Wife Too

Lishan Wang also allegedly attempted to murder Toor's wife, who is pregnant. When she heard shots and went outside she confronted the gunman. When he started shooting at her she hid behind a car. She was not physically injured in the attack. She is probably in shock though from being shot at and from the murder of her husband. The Toors also have a 3-year-old son.

This is the second murder involved the Yale Medical School community this year. Annie Le, a medical grad student, was murdered in September.

Another family is torn apart by gun violence. Too many people are getting murdered via gun in America. Let's hope some stricter rules are enacted so these violent murders stop.

有道理。我自己是在工作以后才体会到真正的“culture shock".北美的文化，
有一很要好的黑人同事，她四岁就到加拿大来了。用她的说法：Your Chinese Culture will allow people walk all over you...

This shooting incident reminds me of other incident in Ottawa.

Back to couple of months ago, on a well known home owner forum which is mainly focusing on home renovation, maintenance, an Indian couple (riverside south) complained on the public forum that their Chinese neighbour bahaved badly and depicts that Chinese's rudeness and selfishness.

To my surprise, such rootless accusation even got many followers on the forum saying many bad words on Chinese.

Actually from what I read from the forum, it is just dispute over how to deal with plants/vegetables close to boundary and this Chinese couple's parents was not happy and angry with this Indian guy's hiring contractor do fencing, they remove partial vegetables and flowers close to the boundary planted by Chinese couples' parent without getting any approval from Chinese neighbour.

Fact is their contractor removed Chinese's vegetables and flowers, while Chinese complains(or "yell"), they call police and said being threaten by Chinese. And police issues an order, don't let Chinese couple's parent close to certain distance of his house.

I feel sorry for the impacted Indian doctor under Wang's gun, however I do find many Chinese are very vulnerable to be targeted as "bad example" or gossips in many small disputes. And people from certain nations are very good at making other person look much worse than actuals.

枪杀案中一旦涉及不同宗族，问题就拐弯了。美国天天都有枪杀，见怪别怪，哪里都有疯子。 不分种族不分国家。

两年前王医生在纽约一家医院做实现医生，还差六个月实习期满。谁知就在这当口
他被医院开除了。据他说，医院有一病人死亡，王医生认为是医院程序操作失误。
别人敢不说，他却试图说出来。医院害怕，找个借口开除他。所谓借口，主要是那个
印度同事平日挑拨，积累出的借口。
王有三个孩子，太太身体不好，全家生活陷入绝境。
王告到EEOC说医院歧视。可是医院找出几个雇员都说王的不是。谁敢反对雇主呢？
EEOC之后又告到联邦法庭。其实也没有抱多大希望。想必大家知道美国法庭对华人
的态度。华人是弱势中的弱势，比黑人差远了。
王后来到亚特兰大一所大学实验室做技工维持生计。他说他感到非常无助。当地华
人没有经验帮不了忙，再不就是“好好的工作，你自己把它折腾没有了。”
他也试过找媒体，找使馆，没有结果。如今闹出枪杀案实在是走投无路。
公司里华人和印度人往往处不来。但是印度人英文好，华人吃亏。
歧视，劳工纠纷，司法不公是美国的固疾。华人自己没有经验，没有媒体，不团结，
要面子，摆高姿态，等等，使得受害得华人雪上加霜。
希望大家关注王立山医生的案件，监督司法程序，防止律师做手脚，利用媒体揭露真相。
