Sheffield Rd. closed after third-alarm fire at metal recycling plant

Fire crews responded Saturday to a third-alarm fire that broke out at the Baker Bros. Iron & Metal recycling plant at 2555 Sheffield Rd.

OTTAWA—Fire crews are responding to a third-alarm fire that broke out Saturday morning at the Baker Bros. Iron & Metal recycling plant at 2555 Sheffield Rd.
Ottawa Fire received a report of a working fire at 9:35 a.m.
The fire is believed to be contained to a pile of cars behind the building. A thick, black cloud of smoke could be seen billowing from the area.
Sheffield is closed at Bantree Street until further notice.
