Question: How to control humidity in house?

Bought a R2000 house, the humidity is suggested in the range of 30-50%. This is imposible when heating or air-conditioning not running.

If fan is set to auto, there is no air exchange when heating and air-conditioning is off. What is the best way for ventilation, set fan always on or just open the door which brought in more humidity.

I bought a dehumidifier and a humidity meter to control the humidity under 50.

I bought a humidifier installed on the duct of furnance. Is it similar to dehumidifier?

Humidifier is useful in Winter when the air is quite dry. but now it is too much humidity and you need to use the dehumidifier to make the air dryier. also you can use the the central air conditioner to replace the dehumidifier but it costs much more electricity.
