有没有人用自己的 hot water tank？

有没有人用自己的 hot water tank？我现在是租用Direct Energy的。１３年的旧tank, 想自己买个新tank+installation。 这样就不用每月付租金了。现在这个tank我用了８年，租金付了近＄２０００，Direct Energy 从未做过任何service。叫他们来换个新tank， 说不到１６年不换。如果tank有问题，他们可以免费维修。有俩个公司上门推销hot water tank，但我想为什么不用自己的tank。这hot water tank一般也不会出问题。 如果用自己的 hot water tank，Direct energy 的旧tank如何处理。就怕我不用它的tank了，它照样收我的钱。

我马路对过的街坊就是自己在Home Depot买的，他们负责安装。看看你现在的多大，去那里看看。

如果要换自己的，让他们取走就是了。不会再收钱。

is returned. They tried to charge me one more month. We all know
that it is hard to get money back. I simply told them that I would

Thank you, ccc and newer. Should I ask Direct Energy to pick up the old tank, or ask the new tank installer to give the old tank back to Direct Energy? I think the old tank is worthless after 13 years in service, and Direct Energy won't spend money to pick up the old one. I will call them Monday to see what they want to do with the old tank.

My rental tank lasted for 12 years and burst. Bought a new one install rather than paying rent again. It should pay itself back in 5-6 years.

I like to what is the average lifetime for a watertank?. what kind of yearly maintenance we should do if we own one.

The company which replaces your water tank will return the old one to Direct Energy. In one year, you can buy the water tank out. Ask the company for details.
