A 18-year-old Ottawa boy just days away from graduation has been killed in a crash in Barrhaven.
Ottawa Police are investigating the crash on Claridge Drive near Strandherd Road as a possible street-racing incident.
Police are releasing few details about the crash, but paramedics say a vehicle struck a cement light post.
The driver of the car was pinned inside his vehicle and by the line post, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger was treated by paramedics for a head injury and a fractured wrist.
Friends tell CFRA News the victim is Christian Williams, who was just days away from graduating from Mother Teresa High School.
One friend said Williams just recently got his new Honda car.
Reports say the driver of another car with Florida licence plates have been arrested.
