Magin Lantern Theatres has taken over from Cineplex and is reopening the Carlton Cinema at 20 Carlton St. in downtown Toronto. To celebrate they'll be running free movies all day on June 30th and July 1st. Click over for the full schedule but there's some good ones in there including Up in the Air, Julia and Julia, The Blind Side, The Cove, Crazy Heart, The Hurt Locker, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and more.
Starting July 2nd, they'll charge their regular prices with a different set of movies playing. The good news is that it looks like they'll continue the Carlton Cinema's tradition of hosting good indie movies.
