hi, anybody know how much will be charged if you don't stop at the stop line. One police stopped me and said that I didn't stop at the stop line. I argued with him and said that I stopped. Then he charged me $35. So I think that the police was not 100 percent sure whether I stopped or not.

aassume you are right. the "real" penalty will be fine + 3 points

you mean stop sign, right?

Thanx friends. So if the police really caught you, you will get at least $110 fine and 3 points. That cop only gave me $35, it means he was not sure whether I stopped or not. Since I will go to Ontario Justic Court on April 7. Ya, I mean stop sign.

I didn't stop at all, just missed the sign. I guess you didn't stop LONG ENOUGH (3 secs), that's why the cop gave you a cheaper tickets. Good luck.

couple of points, depends on whether its ur first traffic offence. no points off for first time, but ur fine seems cheaper. mine is $190 for failing to stop at the red light. i guess u just let the car slowly roll at the stop sign. u used to argue the case at the civil court. but right now cityhall has the authority to decide the case before the judge. usually they bias to police. so my suggestion is to pay &35 fine.

$35 fine for stop sign is really cheap! Usually it costs about $100.
