accident happens all the times. But "hit & run" is a felony and will follow someone for ever (assumption that he or she is caught).

事故没啥。肇事逃逸是大罪,而且后果会很严重,例如遣返。
 
出事故不留在现场,逃之夭夭,不仅仅是违法,而且是刑事犯罪。

Under the criminal law of Canada, "hit-and-run" is not only prohibited but comes with a prison term of up to five years.

去年有两起撞死人逃跑事件。不知道凶手有没有被抓住。

一次是夏天的早晨, 在woodroff某个路口。因为是早晨五点, 没有目击证人
一次是冬天的下午, 在richmond 和pinecrest。 肇事人从carling ave跑了.

两个死者都骑摩托.
 
09年有个人开车连撞五名骑车人,事后逃逸,左思又想之后又自首,不知道后来怎么处理了,至少得坐几年牢吧.

that guy was charged by 5 times hit & run, and put into jail
 
Hit and run is a felony, subject to criminal charges.

WOODROFFE 那起案子的当事人去自首了。去年底在Richmond/PINECREST 那起案子还没结。

一般自首了警察才会抓到案犯的。

(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Collision Investigation Section has arrested one man in relation to the Hit and Run Collision on Woodroffe Ave from September 2, 2009 at 11 pm.
On September 3, 2009 at approx 7:10 pm a man turned himself in to police. The suspect vehicle was also later recovered and has been seized for expert examination.
The victim, Bradley O’Neil an 18-years-old male of Ottawa, died in hospital yesterday.
Andrew WIECZOREK, 20-years-old male of Whitby, Ontario, is charged with: ·Fail to stop at the scene of accident cause Death.
Wiecvzorek is to appear in court today.
Anyone with information regarding the collision investigation is asked to contact Ottawa Police Collision Investigation Section at 613-236-1222 at 2481or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477 (TIPS) or toll free at 1-800-222- 8477.
Further to the altercation prior to the collision in the area of the skateboard park, the Ottawa Police Service Robbery Investigators have charged one man in connection to this incident.
Robert Kyle McCULLOUGH, 23-years-old of Ottawa, has been charged with: ·1 counts of Robbery ·2 counts of Uttering threats ·1 count of Attempt Robbery ·1 count of Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public safety
McCullough is to appear in court today.

Road Closure due to Serious Motor Vehicle Collision on Woodroffe Ave
(Ottawa)-On Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009 at approximately 11:00 pm, Ottawa Police Service responded to an altercation in the area of the OC Transpo station on Woodroffe Ave. At the same time, another call was received about a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle on Woodroffe Ave. The pedestrian was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The investigation is continuing but the incidents are believed to be related at this time. The vehicle left the scene of the collision. It has been described as a dark-coloured small pickup truck with front-end damage.
Woodroffe Ave between Baseline Rd and Meadowlands Dr. is closed at this time. The road closures will remain in effect for several hours while the investigation continues. Update: Ottawa Police seeks witnesses in fatal Hit and Run at Richmond Road and High Street

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service is investigating a fatal hit and run collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle that occurred today, at approximately 4:14 pm at the intersection of Richmond Road and High Street. The 44-year-old male motorcycle driver has died from his injuries. The victim will not be identified pending notification of next of kin.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a small dark coloured 4 door vehicle. The vehicle was last seen going northbound on High Street from Richmond Road.
