Notice to all clients who are feeding Iams or Eukanuba Dry Foods
The Proctor and Gamble Company has issued a voluntary recall of dry cat and dog foods made at a specific plant in the US. The recall has been issued due to a possible salmonella contamination health risk. No salmonella related illnesses have been reported but as a precautionary measure, all foods manufactured at this plant have been recalled.
The specific products that have been recalled are:
All Iams Veterinary Dry Formulas
Eukanuba Naturally Wild
Eukanuba Pure
Eukanuba Custom Care Sensitive
Eukanuba Naturally Wild
Eukanuba Pure
Eukanuba Custom Care Sensitive
The recall includes both dog and cat food and includes all dry sizes and varieties of the above products with expiry dates between July 1, 2010 and December 1, 2011.
If you are feeding any of the recalled products, please discontinue feeding them. The product can be disposed of in regular trash by emptying it out of the original bag so it cannot be reused.
Proctor and Gamble will refund consumers directly for any product that needs to be disposed of. Please contact their customer support line at 1-877-340-8823 for instructions on how to receive a refund.
