RBC Royal bank allows you to open a RBC Bank (a US affliate) account, which is equivalent to a real US account (i.e. it looks and functions exactly like a US$ account). The account can be used for receiving PayPal US$, which strictly requires a US$ account.

No US address is needed.

RBC Bank has two types of account you could choose from. As long as you keep minimum amount of usd (one exsample is usd750) no annual fee charged. You could have free checks from them after you joined the bank. It's very convenient.

没有美国的驾照，就有护照或绿卡（加国的）一样开了账户啊！没有什么特别的。我前一阵子就开了两个账号，在bank of america.

My previous information seems out of date, you dont need an u.s personal account with local address which maybe most people here ask for .
