The City of Ottawa no longer accepts Phase 1 electronic waste (e-waste) for disposal as part of its curb-side garbage collection program.

- Radios
- Telephones, cellphones, answering machines
- VCR and DVD players
Phase 1 and Phase 2 materials can be dropped off free of charge but please check the website http://www.dowhatyoucan.ca/Electronics/ for what materials are accepted at each location as there are some restrictions.
Residents who set out Phase 1 e-waste for collection will not have their items collected and will be left with an information notice on how to properly recycle the material through dowhatyoucan.ca.
