need suggestion --color for the wall in basement

i want to do some basement renovation
basement in my house is dark. what color should i use? bright and good looking?

another question: did anyone ever tried light yellow or blue for bedroom? is light yellow color bad for eyes?

We have light yellow in our bedroom. Looks warm and cozy.

There are way too many shades of blue. Some may be good. But not to dark.
